The design is what first catches the eye: the new all-in-one Mac has a more square design, with thinner screen edges. The familiar 'chin' at the bottom of the screen has been retained, but in the same colour as the rest of the iMac and without the Apple logo. Unlike previous models, the back of the new iMac is no longer convex, but completely flat. As a result, the design also resembles Apple's high-end display Pro Display XDR.

The new iMac also comes in multiple colours. Apple is thus harking back to the earlier iMac G3, which also came in multiple colours. There are seven colours in total: yellow, blue, purple, green, orange, pink and silver. A nice touch is that the power cable, mouse and keyboard all wear the same accent colour as the iMac. This makes it interesting to really blend the computer into your interior.
